So here are a bunch of links I’ve accumulated over the past few weeks/months/years. Due to budget cutbacks, this is all you get for Christmas this year
- The Dunning-Kruger effect: research on self-measurement of competence and how that relates to confidence. It really helps me understand and relate to some of my coworkers.
- Downloads of game soundtracks!
- WinDirStat: an awesome program showing visualization of where exactly your hard drive space is going.
- The Orb bluetooth headset: it’s a ring that transforms into a bluetooth headset. Functional jewelry intrigues me.
- AutoHotKey is a free macro, script program for Windows
- Raising a healthy gamer: article talking about healthy gaming boundaries for children, etc.
- The BIOS Mods forum: there are crazy people out there that hack their BIOS to enable unsupported/disabled features (i.e. for overclocking, etc.). Wacky, dangerous stuff.
- Achievement Unlocked: a game that takes the gaming “achievement” craze to its logical conclusion.
